It's been so long...

So, I haven't actually written anything on here in quite a while! Wow, sorry!
Here it is November and I'm just catching up from the end of the summer! We joined the pool down the street in August and it was so much fun! It was relaxing and just plain enjoyable! For Labor Day, we visited my grandmother in upstate NY which is ALWAYS a treat! The kids love to go over labor day weekend b/c they get to go to the Chatham Fair. It is a real old-fashioned County fair. There are chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, geese, roosters, ducks... quilts, wood works, and so much more, but the kids' favorite?? THE RIDES! Kayli and Amy talked Kevin into going on that huge boat that swings back and forth~~ The Buccaneer~~ His face was as white as an boild egg! He was so scared, and his sisters laughed, of course! He braved many other rides that day and was such a big boy! They also love the carnival food and the sun! It really is wonderful. As usual, we just love visiting Grandmom.
Then September rolls around and it is time to get back into the swing of things... Kevin starts soccer and both girls begin dance. The big news, though, is that both girls were promoted! Kayli is not Junior Elite, A. and Amy is now Junior A. Amy made company!! We couldn't be more proud of them both. In October, we went to a local competition and Kayli was awarded a first place trophy for her jazz solo entitled 'Deed I do. Now we are preparing for the annual production. This season they will dance in Overtime for Santa again. It is an original story written by Mrs. Debra DiNote, owner and artistic director of Dance! by Debra DiNote. I LOVE this show! In the meantime, Kayli was also selected to dance at Rowan University with the Rowan Dance Company in a children's show called The Man Who Walked Between the Towers! In the middle of all of this, Kevin goes for weekly allergy shots and is still playing soccer. I began working part-time at the Dance studio, too... so... not much time left over. But, you know what? I don't regret a single decision we've made regarding the girls' dance or Kevins athletics. They are in shape, well-rounded, smart kids!
So as the girls continue to dance, Kevin will move on to indoor soccer, then basketball, then baseball and then it will be summer again! YEAH! Then, it all starts again! I'll miss it some day, I know I will!
So, what else about the kids! Kayli is in 8th grade. What??? Yes, that is correct. She's 13 ~~ I can't be that old ~~ and getting ready for H.S. She was invited to take H.S. Algebra 1 and Advance Science this year, so she's really working hard! WE are super proud and impressed by her!
Amy is the big cheese at Whitman school this year. She's participating in a lot of activities such as doing the announcements in the morning, chorus, art honors, and the school musical. My little blonde baby will be in middle school next year! AHHH! She's maintainin honor roll and working VERY hard! We are very proud of her as well.
Then there's Kevin. Big man on campus! He's in 1st grade. I cannot believe my BABY is in elementary school. It is still weird for me to look at him cross that playground and go in in the morning! He's VERY bright, too. His thinking skills amaze us tremendously!
So, to make a long story short... We are SO blessed!
I'll post some pictures soon!
Love,
Tracy
