On Friday, May 9, the girls both danced in the Gala Concert for Dance! by Debra DiNote at Pfleeger Concert Hall at Rowan University. May I just say that our girls did phenominal! Don, Kevin, and Tracy could not be more proud of their agile and talented little girls. Amy is in a group that is apprentice to the Dance! Workshop Company which is a performance and competition troupe. Kayli is a member of the Junior Company of the Dance! Workshop.
Each dance season, the children are awarded trophies, honors for consecutive years at Dance!, and certificates indicating their strengths. Amy got a 7 year trophy and recognized for excellent technique in Lyrical and Ballet and Great Jazz Style in addition to Always Positive and Class Leader. She's made tremendous strides in her dance over the past 8 months!
Kayli's awards ususally come at the banquet held for Company members, but the banquet is after the recital this year, so the "big" awards were announced before the Gala performance. We are tickled to announce that Kayli received the Junior Rising Star special award this year. This is quite an honor! She has been dancing for 9 years!!!
Both girls are fabulous dancers and we look forward to seeing what more comes their way as the challenge increases and the dance continues!
We know how blessed we are!
