Last Weekend Kayli and Amy performed in a redition of the Wizard of Oz called Over the Rainbow. While there is no "live" singing, the Dance! Workshop Company directors use the original soundtrack from the movie Wizard of Oz with sprinkles of soundtrack from The Wiz. The performers dance and patomime to the various songs used. There also is a wide range of dance forms such as ballet, pointe, lyrical ballet, modern, tap, and hip hop. The production was just beautiful and very well planned. Each dance season the Dance! Workshop Company performs in a production in addition to the annual recital and other performances at nursing homes, hospitals, and the park. Next season most likely will be an original story written by the owner of the studio, and dance teacher, Debra DiNote entitled Overtime for Santa. Amy and Kayli look forward to the production each season and just love it all from rehearsals to costumes to make-up right up to the performance. As great as the show ALWAYS is, there is a let-down when it is over. Check out the web site for more information and to see photos from last year and soon this year also. www.dancebydinote.com.
